Jesus Vallejo, who came to Wolves on a season-long loan during the summer, could see his time at Molineux ending prematurely.
Spanish media outlet DefensaCentral have reported that his parent club Real Madrid could recall him during the winter transfer window due to concerns about the lack of game-time he is getting under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 22-year-old has started just one Premier League game all season, the 2-5 defeat by Chelsea in September, and has not featured for Wolves in the Europa League group stage. [via TransferMarkt]
He has made only seven appearances in all competitions for the club, with most of those coming in either the Carabao Cup or Europa League qualifying rounds, and has seen Max Kilman starting ahead of him in the last two European games.
His two Premier League appearances against Chelsea and Southampton both drew scorn from many Wolves fans on social media, while his performance in the defeat to the Blues was described by the Express & Star‘s Matt Maher as “ponderous” and “a Premier League debut to forget”.

It’s not up to Wolves to do more to keep a player, it’s up to the player to do more to show he deserves a start. He’s been given opportunities and so far been found woefully short of the required standard.

Turin apart, he’s been pretty much the worst player on the pitch for every minute he’s played so far this season. He looks like he came through the ranks of Wimbledon in the 90s rather than Madrid in the 2010s given his propensity to lamp it up field whenever in possession
