Wolverhampton Wanderers are believed to be ready to ‘work hard’ to land their most ambitious transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Dean Jones, who is a Football Insider for Bleacher Report, has claimed the Molineux outfit are prepared to fight it out for Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix.

The journalist also mentioned that with super-agent Jorge Mendes likely to be involved, the Premier League outfit are hopeful that they can negotiate with the Portuguese outfit regarding a fee, with his release clause thought to be set at around £105million (€120million), per Mundo Deportivo.
As he mentions, the deal would be a ‘major statement’ for Wolves, who managed to secure some impressive transfers in last summer’s transfer window.
However, with Felix being considered a potential star of the future, there is plenty of interest in the 19-year-old from clubs all across Europe.
And, it would appear Juventus may have put themselves at the front of the queue, having already held discussions with Benfica about a possible deal, per Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Verdict:
There is no doubt that landing Felix would be a ‘major statement’ for Wolves in the summer and it could be a deal that becomes a reality with the involvement of Mendes.
The 19-year-old has been in sensational form for Benfica this season, having hit eight goals and four assists in his 15 Primeira Liga matches so far.
However, with the likes of Juventus and a number of other European giants all rumoured to be interested, Wolves could find it difficult to bring the teenager to Molineux in the summer.
