Wolves are flying high in sixth in the Premier League, so their European tour could continue into next season, too. One of the standout contributors to their impressive form has been 28-year-old Raul Jimenez, and the club’s decision to make his loan from Benfica permanent in the summer is looking like it’s paying off.
At £34.2m he wasn’t cheap, but he’s now netted 15 times and assisted seven in 27 appearances for the club across all competitions this season. Between the club’s games against Arsenal on November 7 and Braga on November 28, he scored in five consecutive games, and it’s seemed like he can do no wrong.
That was proved once again when the club’s official Twitter account posted a video of his showing off his defensive abilities in training. He cleared his lines with a powerful defensive header and many fans were impressed by the power he got behind it. Some of them replied, buzzing over the Mexican playmaker.
