Former Premier League star Stan Collymore believes that Wolves’ big summer signing, Fabio Silva, should be sent out on loan.
Silva out on loan?
The 18-year-old has endured a difficult time at Molineux since his £35.6m move from FC Porto, in what was Fosun’s big investment back in the summer.
Having been thrown in the deep end, things haven’t quite worked out for the Portuguese youngster at present, scoring just once from his first 15 outings for the Black Country club (TransferMarkt).

Silva, who is one of the club’s top earners on £80k-per-week (Spotrac), was recently described as a player that is “full of talent” by manager Nuno Espirito Santo (cited by the club’s official website) after opening his account for Wolves against Burnley.
But Collymore believes that he isn’t ready to play Premier League football week in week out, as he explained on his official Twitter account (via @StanCollymore) in response to a fan.
Michael Owen was ready at 17.
Silva isn’t yet.
I like the kid, will probably go on and have a great career, an all round potentially very good striker. But you can see he’s nowhere near developed his toolkit to come into top level English football.

Transfer Tavern Verdict
It might not be the worst idea in the world, given the fact that he is so young and lacks experience at the highest level.
But at the same time, there is a chance that this move would upset Fosun greatly, considering how much they spent to bring him to the West Midlands. Also, it could be a factor on Nuno’s future.
It is still early days for Silva. We believe supporters need to have patience with Silva. The more experience he gets under his belt, the sooner he will blossom into the sort of player that can help Wolves compete.
