Wolverhampton Wanderers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be celebrating their side’s promotion to the Premier League after an impressive campaign.
The Molineux outfit look set to be crowned Championship champions and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will be back in the top-flight for the first time since the 2003-04 season. The club will look to keep hold of star players Diogo Jota and Rueben Neves, although the former Porto boss will be looking at adding to his side.
Turkish newspaper Fotomac are reporting Benfica’s Anderson Talisca has jumped to the top of Wolves shortlist after he continues to shine during a loan spell with Besiktas. The Brazilian attacker has been heavily linked with a host of clubs, however, it is thought Wolves have already made contact with the player’s agent.
The 24-year-old has been on fire in front of goal and has scored 18 times for the Turkish side this year, whilst also providing five assists.
The English side could find it difficult to bring him to Molineux though, with the Turkish outfit set to have the first go at trying to convince him to stay in Turkey with them as they also have a 21 million euros clause in their current deal.
Landlord’s Verdict
The locals in the Tavern will be hoping they can bring a player of Talisca’s ability to their club and join Neves and co. for their first time back in the Premier League in over a decade.
