Lots of Wolves fans have been left to fume as a transfer update emerged on Dion Sanderson.

As per the Daily Mail, the Midlands club have rejected an opening bid worth £1m from Sunderland for the central defender.

They are looking to hold out for fee closer to £2m, as Cardiff City, Birmingham City, Stoke City, Luton Town and Millwall are all credited with an interest in his signature, and are closely monitoring any developments.

Both Sheffield United and Newcastle United are also said to eyeing up a potential transfer for Sanderson, who is set to be in high-demand.

The Englishman played a big part in the Black Cats reaching the EFL League One play-offs, playing in no fewer than 26 games in total in the division (Transfermarkt), and at just 21 years of age, he still has a lot of potential.

Thus, it is understandable why so many members of the Molineux faithful feel aggrieved by the opening offer.

"I know they're third-tier, but that's embarrassing. £4m absolute minimum and I'd be VERY hesitant in selling at that much."
