Traore set for huge reward
The 24-year-old has been turning heads over the past 12 months after putting in a string of impressive performances, which has led to receiving praise from all angles.
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown acknowledged the journey that the Spaniard has taken to get to this point in his career and made an interesting analogy about him. “I had described him as like a learner driver in a Ferrari, but he’s Lewis Hamilton now,” he told talkSPORT.
90MIN reported that he will join the likes of Raul Jimenez and Nuno in signing long-term deals at the club, which will be four years and is set to earn the speedster in excess of £100k-per-week, more than double his current wages (Spotrac).
His performances have been noticed by the Spain national team who recently rewarded him with his first cap at the beginning of the month, and now has three appearances to his name for his country (TransferMarkt).
It’s fair to say that Traore has been very exciting to watch and Wolves fans will be delighted that they are tying down another one of their key assets.
While he hasn’t scored a high amount of goals since his £18m move from Middlesbrough in 2018, his unorthodox style of play, immense strength and electric pace has been part of the reason why his club’s assent in English football continues.
While it is fully deserved, consistency is key to justifying that he deserves it, and the way he can do that is by performing well.
The cherry on the cake would be if he can score more goals for Wolves. That would be the next step that would take his player development to another level.
