Some Wolves fans have been buzzing over a transfer update which emerged from Football Insider on Tammy Abraham.

As per the news outlet, the Midlands club are preparing to fight Aston Villa and other suitors to sign the Chelsea striker in the summer transfer window.

A source from Molineux has claimed that Wolves are preparing to enter the race to sign him, with Nuno Espirito Santo in the market for a new centre-forward.

The 47-year-old is a 'big admirer' of Abraham, whose goal record in 2020/21 should not go unnoticed, with 12 strikes and a further six assists 30 games in total over all competitions despite not being a regular starter at Chelsea (Transfermarkt).

Given the nasty head injury suffered by Raul Jimenez earlier in the season, Wolves could do with another striker, and the 23-year-old Englishman may well fit the bill.

"Top striker who would offer us something completely different. Can’t see it happening though as he’d want to be first choice, which we can’t guarantee. Imagine he’d end up somewhere like West Ham."
