Leeds United chief Victor Orta has made a rather bold claim about Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Adama Traore, as he revealed his thoughts on The Scouting Hub (via Birmingham Mail).
As per the outlet, Orta could not speak highly enough of the former Middlesbrough winger.
“Adama Traore can be the most exciting prospect now in Spain,” the Leeds chief told The Scouting Hub.
“And not only this, even a lot of players that can have a real impact on the team, I feel really proud of my work in Middlesbrough because I was honest and I was trying to improve the club.”
Indeed, Traore has not yet made his senior debut for the Spanish national team, but has come up through the youth ranks, representing his country at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, according to Transfermarkt. He played 20 times in total for those underage teams, netting once.
Judging by Orta’s comments, it should not be long before Traore is called up for his first senior cap, as he will surely be looking to break into the Spain squad just in time for Euro 2020 to begin next year.
Nevertheless, the flying winger has enjoyed a relatively impressive season for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team so far, scoring six goals and making 10 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

With Wolves still in the Europa League and sitting fairly comfortably in sixth place in the Premier League table on 43 points, there is no reason to suggest why Traore’s club cannot push on further to qualify for the Champions League given that they are currently fighting on two different fronts.
What seems certain is that the 24-year old would have played a key part in taking the West Midlands team there, and it’s no wonder why Orta is singing his praises.
