‘Would rather Janssen’ - Tottenham fans fume as struggling star is compared to flop signing

The Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Transfer Tavern are incredibly frustrated after yesterday’s draw with West Bromwich Albion at Wembley.

Indeed, Mauricio Pochettino was unable to break down a stubborn Baggies side led by Gary Megson after coming from behind and now trail league leaders Manchester City by ten points, with Pep Guardiola’s men still to play another game.

Much of the frustration amongst our north London locals has been the lack of support for Harry Kane. That’s a problem that has seemingly been in play for years now, with a back-up striker of the required level difficult to find indeed. Though Kane saved Spurs again yesterday, the overreliance on him is a worry and summer signing Fernando Llorente is not impressing those on social media.

If you’re going to put your hand in your pocket to back a coupon this weekend, hold fire until you’ve seen our recommended Accys! Last week, our Premier League outright win treble with LeoVegas paid out—so we’re having another crack with Tottenham, Newcastle and Palace. We’ve also got a very enticing fourfold from the Championship and League One. Take a look and let us know how you’re placing your money this weekend!

The Spaniard, popular as he was at Swansea City, has struggled to convince many of our punters, as well as Twitter users, who are comparing him to last season’s flop, Vincent Janssen.

Here’s a closer look at some of the reaction.

I would rather Janssen over Llorente
