£1.35m-rated star reportedly on Leeds’ radar as club eye key additions

Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking for the club to push on with their transfer activity this summer amid all the concerns currently surrounding the Whites.

The Elland Road outfit are in the process of finding a new manager, with Marcelo Bielsa considered the favourite for the role, yet the locals will want to make sure it does not have an impact on their recruitment drive.

And, according to a report in The Yorkshire Evening Post, the club are continuing to push on with bringing new names to the side, and are rumoured to be interested in Brentford’s John Egan, what with the Whites reportedly making a new centre back a ‘key priority’.

The 25-year-old is thought to be on Leeds’ radar as the Yorkshire giants eye up much-needed defensive reinforcements, yet it does remain to be seen if the Whites will make an offer for him this summer.

It is thought the Elland Road outfit are keen on bringing another centre back to the side this summer to partner Pontus Jansson, and Egan would no doubt prove to be a huge aerial threat for the Whites were the £1.35 million-rated star (as per Transfermarkt) to indeed make the move to Elland Road this summer.

Landlord’s Verdict: The resident Leeds fans in the Tavern will be pleased to see that the club is continuing their efforts to strengthen ahead of the Championship season, and will be hoping to see a number of arrivals to come in, including a new manager.

Should Egan join the Whites, he would help to them find the back of the net, having netted 10 goals in the past two campaigns, and indeed help to strengthen their backline, a backline that shipped 64 goals in 46 Championship games this term.
