Arsenal are on the verge of landing Ivory Coast front man Gervinho and according to Mirrorfootball, the club have agreed a fee of £10.6m with French champions Lille and its believed the 24 year old could be a Premiership player in the next 48 hours.
Arsene Wenger has seen off the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle to finally be in touching distance of bringing his man to North London.
Gervinho has spent two season’s spearheading the attack at the Metropole and during the last campaign he bagged 18 goals over all, playing a vital role in crowning Lille domestic Champions for the first time since 1954.
It’s not quite that long without a trophy at the Emirates, but I’m sure it certainly feels that way amongst the fans. He will look to pick up where he left off as he crosses the Channel and will seek to add another trophy to his CV, and the first to the Arsenal cabinet since 2005.
The Arsenal boss is showing signs of movement and appears to be looking to for fill the clubs requirements as he also continues to fight for Blackburn’s Chris Samba like a dog with a bone. He is also lining up a move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Willian, as he prepares for the worst where Nasri and Fabregas are concerned.

The defence needs to be strengthened. Please get a quality defender and not a kid who will become wc in five years time.
Arsenal definitely needs quality signing so that premier league tittle will not always between manutd and chelsea.Wenger should go for good and strong defenders,a midfilder and a proven striker.Trouphy is a must this up coming season and anything less should be considered as a failure,shame,calamity and disaster.4rm Tunde(up gonners).

its not about quality .. cuz if you think about it .. arsenal have the quality .. they play good football .. the only problem is that this arsenal team is young … dont sell anyone .. im sure arsenal will win a trophy next season… i’m a nufc supporter but i love football .. so i like to watch good football.. arsenal are no failures… they are just inexperienced and unlucky .. unlucky because of the injuries( to important players) im sure if it was arsenal in the final against barcelona .. arsenal would have got something out of this game … think about it … keep vermaelen out of the physio room .. same goes to vanpersie, fabregas, and nasri .. buy a replacement for arshavin … and arsenal are set … imagine champions league draw putting arsenal against schalke in the semi final … it was all about the draw .. who got lucky and didnt have to face barcelona until the final … like i said .. arsenal have more young and hungry quality players than most pl clubs … but their only problem is their height … thats is .. they now have one of the best young goalkeepers around … good defence and an excellent midfield and attack that most teams envy… that said .. we will murder you at StJames park come august :).. because NUFC are the new and improved arsenal
