The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting more and more excited by the day as they seemingly get closer (as per the Daily Mail) to the signing of Lucas Torreira. The Uruguayan midfielder has been top class for his country in the World Cup and the Gunners will be hoping he can do the same for Arsenal.
Of the players we have been linked with this summer, who would you most like to see sign for the club? pic.twitter.com/OY1unoL4pl

Unai Emery looks to be stamping his image on the current Arsenal squad. The Spaniard has already made some big decisions in deciding to let Jack Wilshere go whilst also bringing in both Bernd Leno and Stephan Lichtsteiner. The Gunners will be much stronger at the back next season as Emery has targeted players to tighten their not-so-water-tight defence, with the frontline not needing any changes.
The fans have mostly been getting excited about Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira though. The young midfielder has proven to be a huge hit in both Serie A this season and the World Cup this summer and he would be a huge addition to the Arsenal team with the club lacking someone who can spot danger and turn defence into attack as effectively as the 22-year-old.

After his WC outings there is no doubt, that Torreira is the real deal. This kid will turn into one of the best CDM in the league shortly.

The Arsenal fans in the Tavern all seem keen to get Torreira on board and with the move being one that will benefit all parties it looks like this one will be going through.
