Arsenal have been rocked in recent months by their failures on the field, which have seen them concede any chances of winning honours this season, and it’s crunch-time for certain players within the squad.
Bleacher Report have revealed long-serving Arsenal ace Theo Walcott is ready to leave the Gunners this summer, if he fails to earn a spot in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the European Championships.
Despite a decent start to the season, Walcott has shown immense inconsistency during the campaign and has struggled to retain a spot in the first-team, with his opportunities dramatically decreasing upon Danny Welbeck’s return to fitness and Alex Iwobi’s meteoric rise.
With immense competition already within the squad, and with Arsenal eyeing additional top-class signings this summer, Walcott’s future at the Emirates remains under scrutiny and he may call time on his ten-year stint with the Gunners.
Crucially, Arsenal seem open to a sale as it’s reported they will listen to any offers they receive. However, knowing Walcott’s ability, a sale could come back to haunt them as it’s likely Walcott would remain in the Premier League.
Arsenal fans, time to cash-in on Walcott or is he still important to the squad? Let us know in the comments below!
