Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing their side get going this summer as the men from Elland Road aim for promotion.
The Whites have had a good summer in terms of Andrea Radrizzani buying out Massimo Cellino and Thomas Christiansen going well with signing players in the market.
For sure, then, there is a feel good factor at the club at the moment and our local Leeds punters are hopeful that that is going to translate into results onto the pitch.
Time, ultimately, will tell, but whilst we wait to see how the side gets going over the coming weeks, it looks as though they are interested in signing Toni Villa.
Indeed, according to Spanish outlet Leonoticias, the Whites are taking a close look at the young attacker who currently plies his trade for Real Vallodolid in the second tier of Spanish football.
A bright spark about the attacking third of the pitch, Villa can play down the left or off of a main striker and could be the ideal man to benefit from Chris Wood’s superb hold-up play.
Landlord’s Verdict
It makes sense that Leeds are getting linked with some rather unknown Spanish players with Thomas Christiansen coming from the country.
Indeed, he’s been quick to use his knowledge to sign a collection of fairly unknown players and Villa would be the latest if he signs.
For sure, then, Leeds fans will be hoping that they are risks that pay off.
