QPR fans have taken to Twitter to show their excitement on the season-long loan signing of American Geoff Cameron.
The versatile defender will be a welcome signing to manager Steve McClaren, who will be desperate to bolster his defence. The 33-year-old Cameron (valued at £2.25m on Transfermarkt.co.uk) has spent the past six seasons in the Premier League with Stoke, and will bring a maturity and solidity to QPR’s backline. The majority of fans have been praising the quality of the American, and congratulating the club in making such a deal.
The Rs look to be improving after a worrying start to their Championship campaign, and the strengthening of their squad with Cameron will only boost their confidence, with some fans believing that this will be a successful at Loftus Road.
With only hours remaining of the EFL loan transfer window, this is a major coup for The Rs, who will still be hoping to make signings before time is up.
