£18M Discount Offered To Wigan & Bolton

Shaun Wright Phillips is set to be the prize for whomever emerges victorious as Wigan and Bolton lock horns and begin battle to land the out of favour winger .

Manchester City are willing to let the England International depart Eastland’s for a fee of £3m, and the sun have today reported the latics will take Northern rivals Bolton right down to the wire in a bid to bolster their attacking options.

SWP started out for the sky blues long before they went from rags to rich’s and first came on the scene aged just 17 in 1998. He went on to make 153 appearances dominating the flaks at main road and enjoying promotion with City, netting 26 times along his way making him a stand out fan favourite.

His impressive form lead to a £21m move to Chelsea in 2005.

After just three seasons in the capital he returned to Manchester where he certainly took off as if he’d never left, but as time has gone on his assistance is none existent and especially since Roberto Mancini took charge, Wright-Phillips has had to come to term that he is deemed surplus to requirements at Eastland’s.

At the age of 29 he would be a great addition to either squad and I’m sure playing regular football would see him back to his best.

I am pursuing a career in journalism. I am a big Arsenal fan and use to love nothing more than travelling the country watching the Arsenal week in week out.
