The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern were more than satisfied with their club’s business in the transfer window and cannot wait to see what the rest of the new season has to offer.
The main story of the window saw Wayne Rooney complete his dream return to the club and the ex England captain has hit the ground running scoring Everton’s only Premier League goals in the league thus far.
The Rooney signing has really seen a statement has been made by the club who have taken part in some major summer transfer activity with the likes of Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Sandro Ramirez all coming through the gates at Goodison Park.
However, our landlord doesn’t believe that this should mean that the Toffees will have a successful season and he believes that Ronald Koeman may need to make a few more signings in the form of free agents just to boost his club as they prepare for a Europa League campaign as well as a domestic campaign.
This has sparked up a discussion in the Tavern which has seen the Everton fans research which free agents can make a difference to their club.
Our landlord has come back to the discussion and he has a shortlist of the two free agents that Everton should definitely consider signing.
Let’s take a look at the list here…
Bacary Sagna

With Seamus Coleman not back for a few months with his broken leg, it may be useful for Ronald Koeman to sign Sagna just to increase his squad depth in the right back department.
The former Manchester City and Arsenal man knows the Premier League inside out and with a fair share of European football under his belt, he may be useful for those Thursday night games that the Toffees will have to play in the Europa League.
Whilst the Evertonians in the Tavern are happy with the way Mason Holgate is progressing at the minute, they don’t see the harm in signing Sagna as a back up.
Giuseppe Rossi

Despite having a shocking injury record, it is well known in the footballing world that Rossi brings goals and if kept fit, he would be a fantastic signing for Everton.
The Goodison Park faithful saw Romelu Lukaku leave their club this summer but if they can snare Rossi on a free to compliment Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez, our landlord believes they will have more than enough goals to replace the big Belgian.
