2 players Everton must have kept an eye on during the international break

Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are growing in deep concern as a lack of goals has seen them plunge towards the dreaded relegation zone.

Sandro Ramirez, Wayne Rooney, Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all have two things in common, they all pose as fairly recent starters for the club, while also ALL have struggled to find the net so far this season.

Many regulars here in the Tavern believe that the misfiring strikers are at fault for the lacklustre start the team has made to the Premier League season. Already 7 games in and the Evertonian strike force have only managed to bag 4 goals between them, which is a torrid return for a side who aims were to challenge a Europa League place, at the very least.

Perhaps the international break came at a good time for the Toffees. Not only has it given Ronald Koeman time on the training pitch, it’s also allowed top brass to potentially think of January targets.

With that in mind, here are 2 Players that our Landlord believes can help Everton find their goalscoring touch.

RAUL JIMINEZ

Mexican international Raul Jiminez has proved an increasingly effective addition for Benfica, scoring 11 goals last season which is a pretty impressive return with his strike partner being the Veteran Jonas. After notching 2 in his opening half a dozen games this season it really does look like he is quite the marksman.

Koeman enjoys a more direct passing style of play, so this man would be the perfect fit, as he stands at 6ft 1 1/2 inches, which enables an alternative more aerial route. Jiminez would be able to supply players like Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson with a target and support in the final third, something Everton sorely miss.

JOSH KING

The Bournemouth man would be perfect for Everton. Though it took him a while to find his feet in the Premier League, the Norway international has proven to be clinical in front of goal, giving the Cherries a fast and strong outlet to their passing game.

Would be an excellent addition and certainly a name that should have been discussed as Everton take stock during the break in football.

Everton fans, can these two men push you to the heights of previous seasons?
