Manchester City supporters have been making all the noise in the Transfer Tavern this term given their team’s sensational season to date, which they hope can result in major honours come the second half of the campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s men were tipped by many to go on and win the Premier League this time round, and they are well on their way to doing so having won 17 of their opening 18 league games, which sees them lead neighbours Manchester United by 11 points at the summit. And having breezed through their Champions League group, with their only defeat coming in a relatively meaningless final match against Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this month, many Citizens fans up and down the country are daring to dream about what their side could go on to achieve in 2018, both domestically and in Europe.
In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident City supporters to get their teeth into, not least recent reports suggesting that their team have joined the race for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
The 25-year-old played a key role in keeping the Eagles in the Premier League last season and looks set to again do the same this term, so much so that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in his services.
And reports suggest that Guardiola’s City have joined the pursuit of the Ivory Coast international, and were Zaha to indeed make the move to the Etihad Stadium in January, here are TWO other stars who could follow him to the North West…
Ryan Bertrand

Ryan Bertrand left Chelsea permanently back in 2015 to link up with South Coast outfit Southampton, and he has since gone from strength to strength to the point that he is now England’s first choice left-back.
The 28-year-old has played 125 games for the Saints in the last few years and in that time has underlined his credentials both offensively and defensively, to the point that City are reportedly interested in bringing him to Eastlands.
And with Benjamin Mendy out for the majority of the season, and midfielder Fabian Delph currently deputising at left-back, it’s a move the Citizens must make in the New Year.
Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal has been subject to speculation for a while now, what with his contract up at the end of the season and no sign that he’s willing to extend it.
The 29-year-old scored 30 goals in just 51 games for the Gunners last term to further underline his credentials in front of goal, with 19 assists in all competitions emphasising his importance to Arsene Wenger’s side.
However, his future is almost certainly away from the Emirates Stadium, and City are reportedly seeking to bring him to the Etihad Stadium in a bid to reunite with Guardiola, having spent time together at Barcelona a few years back.
As such, it’s a deal they must look to strike in the forthcoming January window.
