2 players who really should follow Geoffrey Kondogbia to Chelsea in January

According to The Mirror, Chelsea are looking at signing Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia with him reportedly unhappy with how things are going at the club at the moment.

The Serie A side have really struggled this season and are on to their third manager of the year already whist Mauro Icardi has experienced a pretty tumultuous time of it with some of the fans of the club.

That, and the fact that the midfielder is not playing as much as he’d like, seem to have combined to create a pretty negative outlook on life for the Frenchman at the moment and evidently, Chelsea are looking to capitalise.

It would be a deal that would certainly impress our resident Blues fans here in the Transfer Tavern whilst they are also hoping there will be more after that.

Our landlord thinks there should be, too, and reckons these two should be signed as well as the former Monaco man…

 Leonardo Bonucci

Despite David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta doing a good enough job in Antonio Conte’s back three to keep John Terry out of the side for now, you feel that it could still do with some strengthening. With Bonucci, they do not come much stronger and with the Italian already full accustomed to playing in a back three he could prove to be an amazing acquisition.

 Lorenzo Insigne

The Italian winger would add some electric pace to Chelsea’s front line. Whilst they have fairly quick players in the shape of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa there is no one there that is really going to set the place alight at full speed. Insigne would get the crowd on their feet and the opposition on the retreat with his running whilst it would allow Chelsea to add another dynamic to their attack.
