Rangers supporters have been slightly downbeat in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side’s four-match winning run in the Scottish Premiership come to an abrupt end on Saturday as they went down 3-1 at home to St Johnstone.
Graeme Murty’s men twice got past Aberdeen as well as successes over Ross County and Hibernian to suggest that the Gers were on their way up after weeks of uncertainty, but things came crashing back down at Ibrox on Saturday after a poor performance from the Scottish giants. The hosts did take the lead through Alfredo Morales after five minutes, but that was as good as it got as goals from Blair Alston, Denny Johnstone, and Graham Cummins sealed a deserved victory for Tommy Wright’s side, who in turn instigated Rangers’ fall to third place in the Scottish Premiership table.
Subsequently, there have been many disappointed Gers fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are looking ahead to the rapidly-approaching January transfer window, and thus who their team could look to sign to bolster their ranks ahead of the second half of the season.
And one man who is reportedly open to the idea of moving to Rangers is Norwich City striker Steven Naismith, who spent five years at Ibrox between 2007 and 2012, in which time he helped the club to three Scottish Premier League titles.
And with first team football hard to come by at his current club, the Scotland international is reportedly open to the idea of moving north of the border once again, and were Naismith to indeed make the move to Rangers, here are TWO other stars who should follow him to Ibrox…
Scott McTominay

Manchester United youngster Scott McTominay was linked with a move to Rangers earlier in the campaign, what with minutes hard to come by at Old Trafford under current boss Jose Mourinho.
And although the 21-year-old has since started their 1-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League, the midfielder is unlikely to command regular football in the North West in the second half of the campaign.
As such, a loan move away in the New Year could be ideal for the Englishman, and Rangers could be the ideal destination for him to continue his footballing education.
Jamie Murphy

Brighton winger Jamie Murphy has struggled for regular football at the AMEX Stadium so far this season, with just four Premier League appearances to show for the first few months of the campaign.
As such, the 28-year-old could be on the lookout for a move in the January window, and Rangers are one side reportedly interested in snapping him up as they seek to bolster their attacking ranks heading into the second half of the campaign.
And although Seagulls boss Chris Hughton has played down speculation that Murphy will leave in January, the fact that the Scotsman is a Rangers fan could help the Gers in their quest for the winger, and thus potentially sealing a deal come January.
