The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking ahead to the summer transfer window, though they are concerned. It’s looking likely to be all change at Stamford Bridge once again, with moves likely to be made in the form of both personnel and managerial change.
The future of Antonio Conte has been uncertain for quite some time, leading back to the decision to renew his Chelsea deal last summer without an increase in its duration.
Unfortunately, poor results in 2018 has only made that speculation worsen, and now, according to the Daily Star, his days are numbered.
Whilst the Juventus boss has really built quite the reputation in Italy, our landlord isn’t sure that he’s the best man for the job at Chelsea.

More Of The Same
For all of Allegri’s success, there is no denying that he is built from the same foundations of Antonio Conte.
He typically prefers to utilise a formation with five defenders, whilst he will also often place more of an emphasis on the defence than the attack.
It’s clear that both of those methods, each of which has been employed by Conte this term, have run their course – with Chelsea not able to compete this term.

Youth Development
Most Chelsea fans can agree that they want to see young players come through the system at Stamford Bridge, but Allegri isn’t the sort of manager that will provide that.
He has rarely placed an emphasis on young players, often preferring to sign experienced, proven talent – much like Antonio Conte.
Chelsea need to begin long-term planning, and unfortunately, Allegri is another manager that screams short-term.
