The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for the new season to start…
It has been a long summer for the Blues, with so many players coming and going, but Antonio Conte’s side is beginning to show signs that they’re ready for the new campaign.
Though the team suffered a couple of defeats during pre-season, performances were – for the most part – pretty good, and that will give Antonio Conte confidence ahead of the new campaign.
One summer clash that Chelsea didn’t lose, though, was against Arsenal – the same team that the Blues will come up against tomorrow in the Community Shield.
Despite losing to the Gunners in the FA Cup final last season, the Blues looked deadly whilst in Asia, and that is just one of a few reasons as to why the club will smash Arsenal in the game tomorrow.
Here are two more examples…
New Look Attack

Diego Costa may be out of the fold, but the reinvigorated Michy Batshuayi and newly signed Alvaro Morata are very much involved.
Batshuayi, in particular, has had an incredible pre-season and looks set to make a real impact for the Blues.
Arsenal have no idea what they’re in for with Chelsea’s new attack, and that could really help the side win the game.
Form

We’ve already mentioned that Chelsea beat the Gunners earlier this summer, but you can also point towards Chelsea’s form in general as a reason for their inevitable success.
Chelsea were unstoppable last season, and very few of the sides in the Premier League could even get close to matching Conte’s impressive tactical displays.
Indeed, especially after winning the league, Chelsea’s confidence is sky high – and that could be enough to push them on to seal victory.
