The Liverpool supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been fairly happy with their form this season and although a poor start to 2017 curtailed their title chances, they are optimistic that a top four finish can still be achieved.

Liverpool signed Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan during last summer and neither have really set the division alight and that could be down to the fact that the duo have not played in England before.

The 25-year-old Saints defender does know the league and the transition into the first-team at Anfield would be a pretty easy process.

In the past Liverpool have been forced to shop for the players which no other clubs are really looking to enter the market for, but a return to play in the Champions League should put an end to that.
