Everton boss Ronald Koeman is convinced the best is yet to come from new signing Michael Keane.
The Englishman who was bought for a fee rising to £30 million has put pen to paper after agreeing a five-year contract at Goodison Park.
And Koeman is excited about Keane’s next phase of is career.
“I believe there is much more to come from Michael and that’s what makes his signing really exciting for me – we will see his development as a player along with the progression overall within the club.”
The Dutchman has gone about his transfer business swiftly this summer. Belgian striker Henry Onyekuru, midfielder Davy Klaassen, ‘keeper Jordan Pickford and Malaga’s Sandro Ramirez have all been recruited before the start of pre-season training.
It’s a stark difference to the transfer dealings down at West Ham. Another club with aspirations of a top six finish have failed to add any signings so far, outside of the ageing Pablo Zabaleta.
West Ham fans in at the Transfer Tavern are becoming fidgety by the day.
We’ve put together TWO things their club could learn from Everton’s summer business…
EFFICIENCY

The Toffees have wrapped up all, if not most of their business before pre-season which means the new arrivals can settle into life as an Evertonian.
It provides Ronald Koeman the opportunity to dictate his tactics, for his new stars to gel and fresh competition for places.
The West Ham players have returned to their training ground this week with pretty much the exact same playing staff as last year.
KEEP UP

Everton appear to have finally loosened their pocket strings as partial new owner Farhad Moshiri alongside Bill Kenwright is happy to splash the cash.
While the club are likely to be reimbursed with much of the expenses with the expected sale of Romelu Lukaku, it’s promising nonetheless.
West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan have talked about challenging for the top four, but so far the club have fallen even further behind the team that finished 7th last season.
