Jake Clarke-Salter is in the Chelsea squad this season, though he looks unlikely to feature given the Blues’ extensive defensive depth.

That doesn’t take away from his quality, though. He’s been in and around the first team for a couple of years, and that’s a testament to his quality.

At 19-years-old, he still has a few years to hone his craft before needing to make a move into the first team, but if Chelsea need a talented central defender, look no further than the Englishman.

 Jeremie Boga

Jeremie Boga made his debut in the first game of the season, but Gary Cahill’s sending off put an end to that prematurely.

He has since made a temporary move to Birmingham in an effort to get regular first team football, and there is a lot of hope in the Transfer Tavern that he will make a massive impact in the Championship.

It’s clear that Antonio Conte rates him, and a decent start to the season could even see him recalled in January.
