2017/18 Chelsea starting XI: These 2 starlets will surely be pushing for a start

Chelsea are hardly a club renowned for producing top young players, and over the last 15 years they have opted to delve into the transfer market rather than develop their own.

Plenty of players have come close to being the next big thing, but barring John Terry, not many have had an impact on the first team at Stamford Bridge.

The last few years have seen the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah break into the team, but neither can be considered first team regulars of potential stars of the years to come.

The fans though in the Transfer Tavern this week have been chatting with our landlord at the bar this week, and they seem to think that next season could see one or two youngsters knocking on the first team door.

We agree, so with that in mind, here are TWO Chelsea starlets who could be pushing for a start next season…

Josimar Quintero

Attacking midfielder Quintero is someone who plenty at Chelsea have got a real eye on, and the youngster could well be knocking on the door next season.

The Ecuadorian is due to be out of contract at the end of this season, but if his deal is renewed, then he will be hoping to press on and get involved with the first team next season.

Ike Ugbo

Striker Ugbo has been with Chelsea since he was 10 years old, and he is still developing nicely at the Bridge.

Ugbo will turn 20 next year, and it could be make or break for the forward as he looks to cement a place in the Blues starting line up.
