3-4-3: Conte must field this Chelsea XI to cause Swansea City serious damage on Saturday

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a tough game against Swansea City this weekend…

The Swans have been on fire under Paul Clement, and whilst relegation looked almost certain earlier in the season – the Welsh side now look like they are in within a chance of beating the drop.

Clement has really come in and changed things up at Swansea, and that should give Antonio Conte a real reason to be fearful.

The Blues come up against the Swans this weekend in a game that is a must-win clash. They can’t afford to let any of the sides below them catch up, and the only way to do that is to secure 3 points.

Expect Antonio Conte to put out a full strength side, though you can expect more than a few changes from the FA Cup clash last weekend.

With that said, Conte must field this Chelsea XI to cause Swansea City serious damage on Saturday…

 GK – Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois is reportedly suffering with an illness at present, but the Blues in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that he will play.

The Belgian has done well this season, and will need to come through with a good performance.

 CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill had a rest last weekend, but he will likely return to this team.

Chelsea’s captain in the absence of John Terry.

 CB – David Luiz

David Luiz has, arguably, been Chelsea’s Player of the Season so far.

He has excelled both defensively and offensively, and that can only be a good thing for Chelsea.

 CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Arguably the most consistent player in the Premier League.

He doesn’t stop running, and he doesn’t stop defending.

 LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso is a real threat down the left-hand side, and has quickly made the spot his own this season.

Nathan Ake is on his heels, but Alonso will start.

 DM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante has been incredible this season, and has arguably been the glue that has held this team together.

He needs to start.

 DM – Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic is an underrated member of this first team, but his role is vital.

He defends and he attacks – the perfect central midfielder.

 RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses has been a revelation at wing-back this season, and continues to impress every week.

 LW – Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has had a poor week or 2, but there is no doubting that his form has been great this season.

He is always a threat.

 ST – Diego Costa

Diego Costa has been out of sorts lately, but his quality is indisputable.

He can always score a goal out of nothing.

 RW – Pedro

Pedro continues to keep Willian out of this side with his goals and excellent wing play.

He has flourished under Conte.
