It’s fair to say there are some bleary eyed Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

Of course, the Blues lifted the Premier League trophy on Sunday in what was also John Terry’s last match as a player at the football club.

It was an emotional day for the Blues fans here in the Transfer Tavern, but they’re already looking ahead, and it doesn’t get much bigger than an FA Cup final with London rivals Arsenal on Saturday.

In what is set to be a sun-drenched Wembley on the weekend, this has all the makings to be a fantastic spectacle, and our landlord cannot wait to see the action unfold on the big screen here in the Tavern.

As ever, our landlord has been discussing the weekend’s match with the punters by the bar, and has been paying special attention to Conte’s Chelsea, and the starting eleven that he should field.

After much deliberation, our landlord feels this XI will dominate the Gunners on the weekend and ultimately secure the FA Cup trophy….

GK: Thibaut Courtois

The reliable Belgian has been solid in between the sticks for the Premier League champions, and he’ll no doubt start against the Gunners.

His commanding presence in goal for the Blues has seriously impressed our landlord, and he will have a big part to play if Chelsea are to triumph on Saturday.

CB: Cesar Azpilicueta

Azpiliecueta has had another top campaign this year despite being played largely out of position.

Our landlord really cannot emphasise how important he thinks the Spanish international is.

CB: David Luiz

David Luiz has had a great campaign and it would be fitting if he was to help the club complete the double with a good performance at the back in this one.

CB: Gary Cahill

Cahill has had a strong campaign this season and will be looking to lift this trophy too after the Premier League.

He’ll be eager to underline that he’s ready to take over from John Terry.

RWB: Victor Moses

Undoubtedly the best season of his career, Victor Moses can cause Arsenal all sorts of problems while bombing up and down the right flank. Few would have imagined just how big a part the Nigerian will have played in what could be a famous double for Antonio Conte, but his importance cannot be understated

CM: N’Golo Kante

Everything Arsenal so desperately need right now. The Frenchman has been a revelation in the Premier League since arriving in the summer of 2015 and, with him in the side, the Blues are all the more likely to help him add to his impressive trophy haul already.

CM: Nemanja Matic

One of the most improved players from last season, Nemanja Matic is getting back to his best at long last. While not as mobile as Kante, the Serbian bruiser is a wonderful foil for the Frenchman and bagged a stunning goal against Spurs in the semi-final.

LWB: Marcos Alonso

His signing from Fiorentina over the course of the summer may have raised some eyebrows here in the Tavern, though the Spaniard has been just as important on the left as Moses has on the right.

Strong, mobile and good on the ball, he’s already scored against the Gunners this season.
