3-4-3: Conte should pick this experimental Chelsea XI vs Watford tonight, the players will be out to prove a point

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see their side win against Watford this evening…

The Blues in the pub have been celebrating their side’s title victory all weekend long, with Antonio Conte’s side finally securing the Premier League title with a win against West Brom on Friday evening.

That being said, many in the pub don’t want the Blues to stop there – with many hoping that they will finish the season with a couple of dominant victories.

The victory against West Brom proved one thing – that everybody in the Chelsea squad is capable of doing a job, with the rarely used Michy Batshuayi popping up with a winner on Friday.

Given the lack of significance of the Watford clash, our landlord thinks that Conte should look to rest a few first teamers – allowing a few rotational players to prove a point.

With that said, Conte should pick this experimental Chelsea XI vs Watford tonight…

GK – Asmir Begovic

Asmir Begovic has rarely been a feature this season, but perhaps it is time for Thibaut Courtois to have a rest.

Whenever he has played, he has impressed. A final swansong before a summer departure?

 CB – Kurt Zouma

Kurt Zouma has rarely featured under Conte, with a loan move potentially coming this summer.

Injury has really taken the wind out of his sails, so he needs to put in a few good performances.

 CB – John Terry

John Terry is set to leave at the end of the season, and he deserves 90 minutes before he leaves.

The Englishman is an icon at Stamford Bridge.

 CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta has been a constant under Conte so far, and whilst a few new faces will come in, his inclusion can give Conte confidence that a good defensive performance will come.

He has been so consistent this year.

 LWB – Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake has rarely featured under Conte since returning to the club, but he is quite clearly good enough.

Conte will have no concerns about his form.

 DM – Nathaniel Chalobah

Nathaniel Chalobah is a top player, and has really impressed when given a chance this season.

He could take the place of N’Golo Kante.

 DM – Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas has been important in recent weeks, and his experience will be important.

Chelsea don’t have another player like him.

 RWB – Ola Aina

Ola Aina looked likely to get regular game time at the start of the season, but that has quickly faded away.

He certainly has all the talent, and with any luck he will become a regular next season.

 LW – Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek desperately needs to go on loan, and a good performance against Watford will put him in the shop window.

He needs to impress.

 ST – Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea’s hero on Friday deserves to make his first Premier League start.

You would be wise to back him to score another goal.

 RW – Willian

Willian has rarely featured this season, which is very disappointing for the Brazilian.

That being said, he will impress – as he so often does.
