The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a big win in the FA Cup on Saturday…
Chelsea are, of course, flying at the moment – with the Blues in the Transfer Tavern supremely confident that their side will be able to secure a famous Premier League title win this season.
However, whilst the Premier League has been, for the most part, plain sailing for London-based side – domestic cup competition has proven slightly more tricky. The Blues looked good if slightly underwhelming in the last round of the FA Cup, whilst Antonio Conte’s side crashed out of the EFL Cup in the early stages earlier in the season.
The Blues have so often done well in the FA Cup, and the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a decent run in the competition this year, regardless of their fine displays in the Premier League.
Antonio Conte is likely to pick a much-changed side, especially given the complexity of their fixtures over the coming weeks.
With that said, Conte should play this exciting Chelsea XI to brush aside Brentford on Saturday…
GK – Asmir Begovic
Asmir Begovic has been Chelsea’s backup keeper all season, but he often gets his chance in the cup.
This clash will represent an excellent time for him to get some valuable minutes.
CB – Kurt Zouma
Kurt Zouma is back fit again and, most likely, back into the Chelsea team against Brentford.
The Frenchman needs to get his match fitness if he wants to challenge for a starting berth.
CB – John Terry
John Terry did not have a very good game last time out, but he’ll be looking to perform slightly better this time around.
