3-4-3: If Conte fields this Chelsea XI, they’ll see off Hull City on Sunday

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a tough game against Hull City this weekend…

Having parted company with Mike Phelan, Hull City are a side on the up – with new boss Marco Silva starting off his Premier League tenure with an impressive 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Whilst they have been a disappointing side all season, Hull look likely to pose a pretty significant threat to the Blues on Sunday – and so Conte must ensure that he is well prepared.

From Chelsea’s perspective, the Blues have been going well in the Premier League – with a solid win over Leicester City last weekend reaffirming the Blues’ title credentials.

Chelsea will want to ensure that they do not lose grip on the Premier League trophy, and so Conte must prepare his team for a tough game, and perhaps more importantly – he must ensure that he picks the right team.

With that said, if Conte fields this Chelsea XI, they’ll see off Hull City on Sunday…

 GK – Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois has played every Premier League game for the Blues this season, and that won’t change.

He needs to keep performing.

 CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta has been as consistent as ever this season, and he will need to ensure that he keeps it up.

Kurt Zouma is breathing down the necks of all of these defenders, and so they will need to make sure that they are at the top of their game.

 CB – David Luiz

David Luiz has done well since his return to Chelsea, but he has struggled a bit over the last few weeks.

His performances cannot drop in quality.

 CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill is the captain of this side, and whilst John Terry continues to struggle – Cahill is continuing to improve.

The defender recently celebrated his 5th year at Chelsea, and he’ll be hoping to start off another year with the club on a good performance.

 LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso was the man of the match against Leicester City, and it is easy to see why.

With Nathan Ake back at Chelsea, his performances need to improve – and a couple of goals against the Foxes was a great way to start.

 DM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante is unstoppable in the midfield, and he will play whenever he is available.

He’ll need to protect the Chelsea back line.

 DM – Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas will have to battle it out for this position, but you would imagine that the Serbian midfielder will take the spot.

He offers an impressive defensive edge, and he has looked good going forward too.

 RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses continues to impress on the right-hand side.

He is undroppable at this point – what an improvement!

 LW – Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard needs to up his game, because he has not been on par with either Willian or Pedro lately.

He needs to score a few goals, too.

 ST – Michy Batshuayi

With Diego Costa’s future still uncertain, it is time for Conte to give Batshuayi a chance.

The Belgian has impressed whenever he has played lately, and if he has a chance from the start – he will probably score.

 RW – Willian

]

Pedro might get a start under Conte, but Willian also deserves a chance.

Like Batshuayi, he has impressed whenever he has had a chance – and he needs to be rewarded with regular game time.

It is a good problem for Conte to have, with both players in fine form.
