3-4-3: If Conte picks this XI, Chelsea will all but wrap up the title against Middlesbrough

Things are going well for Chelsea, and the Blues in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to a party at the end of the season…

Chelsea are flying high in the Premier League, and with just a few games between now and the end of the season, Antonio Conte is tantalisingly close to securing his first winner’s medal in the English top flight.

Of course, the title isn’t won yet, but with a victory against Middlesbrough this weekend – the Blues can take a massive leap into securing Premier League glory at the end of the season.

Winning will be no easy feat, though, given how much is on the line for Middlesbrough. The Riverside-based outfit are battling relegation, and a loss to the Blues could all but seal their fate.

Conte, then, will need to pick a top team in order to get the job done – and whilst a few changes might be made – a full strength team is expected.

With that said, if Conte picks this XI, Chelsea will all but wrap up the title against Middlesbrough…

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Who else?

Thibaut Courtois is the undisputed number one at Stamford Bridge, and it seems unlikely that Asmir Begovic will get much of a chance between now and the end of the season.

He has been stellar in recent weeks.

CB: Cesar Azpilicueta

Mr. Consistent in the Chelsea defence.

Regardless of his position, Azpilicueta always comes through with a good performance.

A regular, and with good reason.

CB: David Luiz

David Luiz has been remarkable since returning to Chelsea, and certainly deserves his place in this team.

The offensive side of his game will be important here, with his crossfield passes often vital in breaking down tight defences.

CB: Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill deserves more credit.

He has probably been the most consistent defender in the Premier League this season, and his goal last weekend proved his credentials as Chelsea captain.

LWB: Marcus Alonso

Marcos Alonso has been undroppable as of late, and looks a shrewd acquisition by Antonio Conte.

Solid both defensively and offensively – what a signing.

CM: N’Golo Kante

The signing of the season.

Kante has been responsible for Chelsea’s turnaround as much as Conte has, and he deserves so much credit.

CM: Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas’ offensive acumen will be vital this weekend, with the Blues likely to face a very defensive Middlesbrough side.

He’ll look to combine with Diego Costa all game long.

RWB: Victor Moses

Victor Moses is a star on the right-hand side of the Chelsea defence, offering a perfect balance of defence and attack.

Conte deserves credit, sure, but Moses’ turnaround has been unbelievable to watch.

LW: Pedro

Pedro scored a fantastic goal last weekend, so you can expect him to retain his place in this side.

Tireless running and offensive pedigree, he is vital to this system.

ST: Diego Costa

Diego Costa has been slightly more barren in front of goal as of late, but that won’t mean anything on the day. He is always a threat, and you can expect him to get back scoring regularly sooner, rather than later.

RW: Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has been Chelsea’s standout performer this season, and he deserves all the credit coming his way.

He’ll be vital on the day, as he always is.
