If you’re a Celtic fan in the Transfer Tavern right now, it’s safe to say its best if you keep your head well and truly down!
Tuesday’s humbling 7-0 defeat to European giants Barcelona was no fluke and Brendan Rodgers’ side were second best throughout the whole of the tie at the Nou Camp.
Even the landlord here at the Tavern wasn’t impressed and he’s got a real soft spot for the Bhoys!
But prior to the defeat to Luis Enrique’s giants, Celtic had been going pretty well domestically. They were top of the league and had just crushed Old Firm rivals Rangers the weekend before.
Rangers travelled to Celtic Park with reasonable optimism but were played off the park, losing 5-1 on the day.

Moussa Dembele
The young striker had a real night to forget in Spain, missing an early penalty that could have drawn his side level at 1-1.
But these are vital learning experiences for young players and we’re expecting the Old Firm hat-trick hero to kick on to get even better this season.
He’s been playing in the shadow of Leigh Griffiths for much of this campaign but when given his chance, he’s excelled.
A bright player for the future and one that seems to be only getting better and better.
Leigh Griffiths
It’s not a surprise to see former Wolves man Leigh Griffiths in this list.
Before his injury, he’d dispatched seven times in nine appearances and was well on the way to last season’s staggering total of forty goals already.
The injury isn’t thought to be that serious and he should be back in the squad in the next couple of weeks and with him, Celtic look a stronger, more threatening team.
Dembele has been fantastic when asked to come in but it’s clear that one man in particular will be leading the line for Celtic this season.
Scott Brown
Love him or loathe him, you can’t argue just how much of an impact Scott Brown can have on this Celtic team.
They’re a much more assured unit with him in the middle of the park and he’s been performing at this level for years for the Bhoys.
Won the midfield battle in the Old Firm clash and his quality over Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar was clear for all to see.
A real leader and he’s worth his weight in gold to the Hoops.
