The Liverpool supporters who can regularly be found supping here in the Transfer Tavern have been in joyful spirits with their start to the 2016/17 season, with their team currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League.

German boss Jurgen Klopp has put together a squad which is capable of playing his high pressing, entertaining style of football and the signs of a successful team are evident, albeit it is early days just yet.

The Reds are yet to win the Premier League since its formation in 1992 and one of the long suffering Liverpool fans in the Tavern is hopeful that the club can secure the elusive title this season.

Influential Klopp

The German boss is a breath of fresh air and the influence that he has put on the side in such a short space a time is alarming for the rest of the Premier League.

Klopp’s style of entertaining football has been a joy to behold and several supporters of other clubs here in the Tavern have enjoyed watching Liverpool play, such as been the high standard of play.

Liverpool are truly blessed to have the former Dortmund manager in their dugout and he is also a great addition to the Premier League on the whole. His enthusiasm is infectious and Liverpool will be hoping it continues for many years just yet.

Devastating front three

When Liverpool parted with £34 million to sign Southampton forward Sadio Mane during the summer, eyebrows were raised with many suggesting he wasn’t worth the money.

The Senegalese forward has provided the perfect foil for Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho and the trio have formed a formidable three-pronged attack for Liverpool.

Henderson finally proving his worth

Jordan Henderson has really stepped up his form this season, after struggling for consistency in recent times and he now looks every bit like a player who is capable of captaining Liverpool.

The England international is a vital component in Klopp’s style of play and his marshalling of the back four allows other, more attacking, players to express themselves further up the pitch.

Henderson’s goal at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea was simply stunning and is arguably Liverpool’s fines result of the campaign so far.
