Bournemouth and Tottenham both had very different results this weekend and it’s safe to say their supporters have very mixed feelings here in the Tavern.
Bournemouth enjoyed one of the results of the season so far, battering Mike Phelan’s Hull City 6-1 at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries were on fire and the performance laid down a serious marker as to their continued success in the top flight.
Eddie Howe can do no wrong on the South Coast and he’ll hope his team can take this form into the Spurs game this weekend.
Meanwhile, Tottenham grabbed a last-ditch point in the Midlands against a West Brom side that had led until the 88th minute. However, Dele Alli scored to ensure at least one point would come back to London, in a result that must have felt like a win.
Even the barman in here couldn’t believe his eyes when the goal went in – he was absolutely delighted!
So with that in mind, we want to look at the THREE players you need to watch out for in the game between the two this weekend….
Callum Wilson
It’s absolutely fantastic to see Callum Wilson back in-form and most importantly, back amongst the goals.
He suffered a terrible injury last season which ruled him out of most of the campaign and now he’s back, and playing as well as ever. The Cherries supporters are lapping up every minute of energy, action, pace and most-importantly, goal-scoring that Wilson is bringing to the team right now.
He’ll be looking to run the Spurs defence ragged.
Heung Min-son
Korean international Heung Min Son had been Spurs’ go-to guy this season, but over the past couple of games in the Premier League, he’s been quiet.
He’s scored five times already and it will be interesting to see if he gets back in the goals in the game against Bournemouth.
They’re two sides who definitely have goals in their ranks, and the former Bayer Leverkusen man will be hoping he can pick up some form once again.
Jack Wilshere
To say that all eyes will be on Jack Wilshire for this one is an absolute understatement.
All Gunners fans will be backing their man to put in a good showing against their arch rivals and we’re pretty sure Wilshere will want to return to the Emirates with a Spurs win to his name.
Game-by-game, his form is improving and he’s coming back to full-fitness and form.
Could this be the game where we see the Jack Wilshire of old once again?
