Chelsea haven’t enjoyed a blistering start to the campaign in the slightest, and at one point, Blues supporters in the Tavern were growing very concerned indeed.

Though in recent weeks, things have started to level out, and ahead of an important run of games coming up, the west Londoners are looking a lot more settled.

The club have publicly given their backing to summer appointment Antonio Conte, who had found himself under a little pressure after results started to dry up.

But whichever way you look at it, some additions in January and going through to the summer would do nothing but improve this Chelsea side, which is far from perfect right now.

Especially in defence.

Juanfran

Currently plying his trade with Atletico Madrid, it would of course be tough to nab him away from Diego Simeone.

Still, Juanfran would undoubtedly make a fantastic signing for Chelsea, who haven’t really got an out-and-out right-back in their ranks right now.

Explosive enough to get up and down the flanks in Conte’s demanding system, the Spaniard would be an excellent addition.

Isco

Spanish starlet Isco is now 24 and a far-cry from the baby-faced youngster we saw appear for Real Madrid for the first time back in 2013.

He’s since matured and turned into quite the player but as you’d expect, he faces plenty of competition to get into the Real Madrid starting XI week after week.

He’s the sort of quality Conte needs if they’re to challenge for titles in seasons to come.

Raul Albiol

Another man who has links with Real Madrid, defender Raul Albiol now plays his football with Napoli in Serie A.

The former Spanish international, who has a World Cup and two European Championship medals to his name would make a fantastic addition to a side where David Luiz is still yet to convince all of the Chelsea faithful.
