Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that Everton will bounce back quickly from their 3-2 defeat to Spurs, by beating West Brom this weekend.
The Baggies suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to relegation bound Palace at the weekend and it could be a great chance for the Toffees to defeat the Baggies.
Koeman’s side were outplayed by a very much in-form Spurs team on Sunday but that by no means, means that they are not still pushing for a top six finish.
The Everton faithful want to see European nights back at Goodison Park and it’s very likely if they keep up how they are playing this season.
It’ll take some doing but our landlord here in the Tavern thinks if Koeman picks this Everton XI, they will surely get the win against West Bromwich Albion….
GK: JOEL ROBLES
He has cemented his place as number one after the injury to Stekelenburg, who even in his return to fitness wasn’t able to claim his spot back.
Although many Everton punters will want a better display from him than they saw of him at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
LB: LEIGHTON BAINES
It’s been great to see Baines keeping fit and playing a vital part in the Everton defence once again.
He’s easily one of the best left-backs that the league has seen in the Premier League era, and his experience will help the younger defenders and midfielders around him – which will only help the club’s long term future.
CB: RAMIRO FUNES MORI
The Argentine has looked solid this season, having cemented his place as first choice centre-back along side Ashley Williams.
It’s been a great combination of youth and experience- forging a great partnership.
CB: ASHLEY WILLIAMS
The Welsh captain and former Swansea man has been as good as many of us thought he would be for Everton this season thus far.
Williams is a rock at the back and has forged a great pairing with Funes Mori and it’s very unlikely that unless injury or suspensions hit, that they’ll be split up.
RB: SEAMUS COLEMAN
A reliable right-back that has been solid since the day he pulled on an Everton shirt.
Easily one of the bargains of the Premier League era and has gone on to be one of the most consistent full-backs in the league, and when fit, will probably be one of the first names on the team sheet.
CDM: IDRISSA GANA GUEYE
One of the signings of the season, easily.
His ability went unnoticed last season as he performed so well in an awful Villa side, and he was overshadowed by Kante then of Leicester.
But this season both he and Kante have been getting much deserved recognition for just how good they are.
Gueye is a superb midfielder and is a rock in the heart of Everton’s midfield.
CDM: MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN
The former United man has looked more like his former self when he was with Koeman at Southampton.
Schneiderlin has been superb since arriving in January from Man United, and he’s probably enjoying his football more as he’s actually on the pitch.
LM: ROSS BARKLEY
The Everton boy who has had his critics this season has really started to come good playing in a slightly wider role in a three man line just before Lukaku up top.
He’s been silencing all those who doubted him this season, with his great displays on the pitch; long may it continue!
CAM: ADEMOLA LOOKMAN
The youngster has been superb in the midfield for Everton, sitting just in behind Lukaku.
The January signing from Charlton has made a real impact and although he didn’t start the game against Tottenham,we fancy Koeman to give him a go again in this one to try and change it up.
RM: TOM DAVIES
Another youngster coming good for Everton is young Tom Davies.
He’s turning heads and making himself a known man!
He can’t stop doing things right and is currently keeping more experienced players out of the team and rightfully so with the way he is playing.
Let’s hope he can keep it up for Everton and England’s sake.
ST: ROMELU LUKAKU
The big Belgian had a great spell on-loan at the Baggies when he was just 19-years-old from Chelsea before he later went on to play for Everton and he hasn’t looked back since.
He’s a goal scoring machine and his former club will for sure not be looking to face him.
He needs to keep his scoring up to try and land the golden boot come May.
