The 30-year-old will definitely start in between the sticks for the Red Devils.

With Eric Bailly suspended and Chris Smalling a doubt, Daley Blind could start.

The Dutchman will want to prove his worth in this game ahead of the summer.

He, like Blind, has something to prove ahead of the summer window.

LB: Matteo Darmian

Darmian has been a part of things in the Europa League this season and will want to be trophy winner on Wednesday night.

Having largely become the embodiment of Mourinho’s style of play in recent months, Ander Herrera is absolutely vital to United’s cause. Their Player of the Year, the Spaniard can certainly put a marker down to be named the club’s next captain with a big performance in Stockholm.

While the world’s most expensive ever player hasn’t had it all his own way this season, his performances in the semi-finals helped the Red Devils through to this showpiece. Big players step up in big games and the Frenchman can help shift some pressure with a strong showing.

LW – Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial has had a mixed season so far, rarely impressing as he so often has in the past, and he seriously needs to add a bit of quality to his game.

He has shown it in parts this year, but he needs to make it more regular. A big game is needed.

CAM – Juan Mata

Juan Mata has forced his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans this season, having been a real threat going forward for the Red Devils.

He has added goals to his game, and will be a real threat for Ajax to watch out for.

RW – Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has failed to live up the heights that he delivered earlier in the campaign, though he has remained a fairly consistent threat for much of the season.

He is capable of magic, and this is the stage to produce that magic.
