Gooners here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are in a very, very weird mood.

Of course, Arsenal missed out on a coveted top four spot in the Premier League and it’s fair to say the Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern just cannot get to grips with it.

No Champions League football at the Emirates Stadium next season has certainly upset the majority here in the Tavern, but there is the prospect of an FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday to look forward to.

The Gunners are hampered with an array of injuries, particularly in the defensive department, so will undoubtedly go into this major match with Chelsea as the underdogs.

Our landlord has been discussing the match with the Gooners by the jukebox here in the Tavern, and thinks the north London side do have the players to cause an upset and shock the Premier League champions on Saturday.

After a long discussion, our landlord thinks this particular Arsenal starting eleven will cause Chelsea some serious damage on the weekend….

GK: Petr Cech

The former Chelsea goalkeeper has been a sturdy figure between the sticks this season for Arsenal.

Nowhere near as good as he was in his Chelsea days, the veteran keeper does still have the ability to perform at the top level.

Cech will need to bring his A-game as he’s facing a potent Chelsea attacking force.

RB: Hector Bellerin

Bellerin scored on the final day in the Premier League and should start this one.

He’ll need to get forward as much as possible.

CB: Rob Holding

This is going to be a big test for Rob Holding.

Laurent Koscielny is suspended and so he’ll have to take matters into his own hands at the back.

CB: Per Mertesacker

Mertesacker has been out for most of this season but could play in this one.

Koscielny is suspended whilst Gabriel could be injured so the German may be given the nod.

LB: Nacho Monreal

Monreal will be one of the most senior players on the pitch and will need to lead by example.

Arsenal need to give their fans something to cheer about so keeping things tight is of high priority.

CM: Grant Xhaha

Though he’s struggled to wholly convince for much of the campaign, Swiss international Granit Xhaka has improved a lot of late.

Slowly but surely, he’s looking like the kind of dominant midfielder Arsenal have been missing for years, though will have his work cut out against N’Golo Kante.

CM: Aaron Ramsey

After such an impressive Euros with Wales, it’s fair to say Aaron Ramsey has failed to convince at all this season. Really needs a big performance, as he showed during the 2014 edition of this famous cup final at Wembley.

LW – Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez has been the one shining light in this Arsenal team so far this year, and he deserves to end it with a trophy.

Though he could leave the club this summer, the Chilean has shown more fight than anyone lately.

CAM – Mesut Ozil

Back in decent form, it is time for Mesut Ozil to show up on a big stage.

He did well against Chelsea earlier in the season, and Arsene Wenger will be expecting more of the same.

RW – Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott has been on a mixed run of form lately, but he always seems to turn up when it matters.

He has been a pretty frequent scorer at points this season, and another goal certainly wouldn’t go amiss.

ST – Danny Welbeck

Danny Welbeck has been in fine form since returning from injury, with Wenger putting his faith in the Englishman.

Olivier Giroud has been effective from the bench, and that is likely how he will feature on Saturday.
