Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see their title challenge continue this weekend after getting a good point at Old Trafford last time out.

In truth, many of the local Reds felt they could have and perhaps should have come away with all three points due to them leading for most of the game but in the end it wasn’t to be.

Nevertheless, a point away at Man United is never a bad thing and now with just an away trip to Man City the last of their visits to potential title rivals the Reds really can kick on.

First things first, though, the Anfield outfit need to see off a Swansea side that are struggling against relegation.

Despite that, though, if they do not approach with the same commitment as they did United they could come unstuck and so they need to watch for that.

Our landlord reckons they will win this one, though, providing they go with this 4-3-3…

GK: Simon Mignolet

Mignolet has really embraced coming back into the side with a number of strong performances. He’ll be looking to do the same here against the Swans.

RB: Nathaniel Clyne

Clyne missed the United game with a minor rib injury but should be back for this one. He’ll have seen Trent Alexander-Arnold’s good showing against United, though, and so will want to remind us he’s still the main man.

CB: Dejan Lovren

The Croatian defender is in fine form at the moment and was very solid against Manchester United. He’ll need to replicate that against Swansea even if they are fighting relegation.

CB: Ragnar Klavan

The former Augsburg man should stay in the side with the continuing row over Joel Matip and his international clearance. Expect another solid display.

LB: James Milner

When this guy scores he doesn’t lose so it makes you wonder why Klopp hasn’t stuck him up top! He’s a credit to his profession and has done everything asked of him this year brilliantly.

CM: Jordan Henderson

Henderson showed exactly how pivotal he is to this Liverpool side with a great return to action against United. He helps the Reds tick and they’ve needed that for some time.

CM: Georginio Wijnaldum

The Dutchman could have and perhaps should have won the game at Old Trafford but hit a ridiculously tame effort straight at David De Gea. We think he gets the nod over Emre Can for this one, though.

CM: Adam Lallana

Lallana did the job on Michael Carrick last weekend as the United metronome failed to find his rhythm. The midfielder should get a freer role for this game.

RW: Roberto Firmino

The front three is anyone’s guess at the moment but we reckon Firmino will at least start on the right. That could all change though.

ST: Daniel Sturridge

We’re going with Sturridge here on the basis the Reds may need his clinical finishing to break down Swansea if they manage to sit in. Divock Origi could easily start.

LW: Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho should be back in the starting XI for this one and our local Reds punters are more than pleased with that. He’s got the ability to fire the Reds to where they want to be this season.
