4-3-3: Klopp’s exciting Liverpool XI to shock Man City at Anfield

We’re gearing up for another title clash this weekend here in the Transfer Tavern as Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield.
Both sides are hoping to be the main contenders with Chelsea for the Premier League crown this season and so it should be an attacking game as both look to reel the Blues in.
The Stamford Bridge side is the one to beat right now and our landlord thinks whoever takes the three points at Anfield will be the chief challengers to them this season.
Liverpool come into the game after an eventually comfortable win over Stoke City that finished 4-1 whilst the Citizens won at Hull City 3-0.
Both are known for their free-scoring ways and their defensive frailties, too, this season and so we could be in for a highly entertaining affair.
Our landlord thinks the Reds can win it, too, providing Jurgen Klopp goes with this 4-3-3 line-up…
GK: Simon Mignolet
Mignolet has done a decent enough job since coming back in goal for the Reds and should get to start here.
A clean sheet would be a more than good base on which to press on for the win.
RB: Nathaniel Clyne
Clyne flies up the right wing from his defensive position and should be looking to help overwhelm City early on.
He’ll need to be disciplined, though, as the Citizens have more than enough quality to cause havoc.
CB: Ragnar Klavan
With Joel Matip still struggling with injury our landlord reckons Klavan will once again play.
He’s played a part in goals in the last two games when he’s come off of the bench and looks confident. These types of games are the ones he thrives in, too, so Klopp should unleash him.
Firmino got back to scoring ways against Stoke last time out and will be looking for more against City.
He really announced himself against the Citizens last season at the Etihad and our local Reds would love a repeat performance at Anfield this time around.
