There is a real excitement amongst the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern at the moment…
The Blues are riding high in the Premier League at present, and whilst teams around them are faltering – Antonio Conte’s men look like they are getting better each and every week.
A formation switch to a 3-4-3 has really invigorated the Blues – and our landlord is backing them for a title challenge this season.
However, whilst Chelsea are looking good; they are far from the finished article.
Antonio Conte undoubtedly needs to invest in the new year; and our landlord thinks that he should try and sign a new striker.
With that said, here are 4 strikers who’d be absolutely superb January signings for Chelsea
Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette is undoubtedly one of Europe’s hottest talents at the moment – and Conte would be wise to beat his Premier League rivals to the prolific frontman.
He has already scored an unbelievable 10 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season, and his game looks to be getting better and better every single year.
The French forward has long been touted by our punters with a move to the Premier League – and Conte must make sure that he does it in the new year.
Guarenteed goals.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang is another player that is seemingly in-demand, and he looks destined for a move away from Borussia Dortmund sooner rather than later.
If you want goals, there is nobody better – but Aubameyang offers so much more than that.
His transitional play is excellent, and his raw pace makes him a nightmare for opposition defenders.
He is perfect for the Premier League.
Romelu Lukaku

If Conte is looking for a player with Premier League experience – look no further than Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian striker has been incredible this season in the Premier League, and it is just a matter of time before he makes the jump to one of Europe’s best sides.
Chelsea would have to swallow their pride to sign the ex-Blues forward – but Conte needs to make it happen.
There might just be nobody better.
Gabriel Barbosa

Gabriel Barbosa is a bit of a left-field target – but Conte might look towards him if he wants to avoid a big transfer fee.
The Brazilian moved to Inter Milan over the summer, but he has completely failed to adjust to life at his new club.
He hasn’t really set the league on fire, and in truth – his run in Italy looks close to over already.
Conte could pick him up for a reduced price; and he could join Chelsea’s often-successful Brazilian contingent that are already at the club.
