4 strikers who’d be absolutely superb January signings for Man Utd

Try not to let a Manchester United fan hear you say this, but many feel that the club are once again in transition and will not challenge for the title this season.

Certainly, many here in the Transfer Tavern think likewise and have been distinctly unimpressed with a lot of what the club have done so far this campaign.

Whilst Jose Mourinho has annoyed with his sulking and moaning the team’s style of play has been dour and many of their big stars have underperformed this season, too.

It’s made for a pretty poor showing so far this year but if any side can turn it around in January it’s surely going to be the evidently loaded Old Trafford side.

Our landlord would not be surprised to see more big money deals in January, then, and reckons United should be looking at signing these FOUR strikers with that in mind…

Antoine Griezmann

The Frenchman has a genuine chance of winning the Ballon D’or in a couple of months time and that tells you just how good he is.

He scores goals for fun and was a big part of France reaching the EURO 2016 final and the Champions League final with Atletico Madrid last season. He’d change Manchester United into big title challengers again straight away.

Domenico Berardi

Domenico Berardi

In Marcus Rashford Manchester United have one of the most exciting young forwards around whilst in Domenico Berardi Sassuolo have just the same asset.

If the two were to join forces things could be spectacular and unfortunately for the Italian side it won’t happen with them.

United should try as hard as possible for this to go through as they’ll be good for the next decade thereafter.

M’Baye Niang

Niang is a powerful and fast striker and that is what Manchester United need up front right now.

Whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the power to compete in the Premier League he doesn’t have the pace and will be off the scene before too long so the Red Devils need a contingency plan.

Niang would be just the perfect person to be such an option for Jose Mourinho.

Lorenzo Insigne

Speaking of pace, Insigne has a shedload.

The Italian can play through the middle or down the sides off of the main forward and would be an exciting prospect to have in the Premier League this season.

A front three of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and the Napoli forward would be hugely impressive and would leave many an opposition defence cut to ribbons.
