Antonio Conte will be the Chelsea manager next season, but surely there needs to be more change in order for Chelsea to improve on their shocking season.
Our resident Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern feel that Conte is going to do a great job at Stamford Bridge, and hope he becomes a legend whilst at the club.
Chelsea’s season is officially the worst title defence in history and the Blues will want to improve on their ninth placed finish.
Conte has managed some great sides in the past including Italy and Juventus and has managed some great players.
So which of these players may follow the Italian to Stamford Bridge?

Marco Verratti
The 23- year-old has been incredible for PSG this year.
Verratti currently plays for Conte in the Italian national side and undoubtedly, Conte would want to bring him to the Bridge.
Verratti is versatile, quick and a great passer of the ball and would form a great midfield partnership with Cesc Fabregas.
The youngster could be a great asset for the Blues and PSG won’t want to let one of their stars leave for cheap, so he could be costly, but Conte surely knows his worth.
Leonardo Bonucci
With John Terry seemingly on his way out of Chelsea, Conte must bring in an experience powerful defender to replace him and there aren’t many better than Leonardo Bonucci.
The 29- year-old is an ideal replacament for Terry and played under Conte for Juventus.
The centre back has 55 caps for Italy, which in itself shows his quality.
Bonucci will be a key player for Conte at the Euro’s this summer, probably as the Italian’s vice captain to Gianluigi Buffon.
Alvaro Morata
Conte will be prying that he can lure Morata to Stamford Bridge, instead of returning to the Bernabeu.
The striker has an incredible record, winning two league titles with Juventus and scoring loads of goals, including a goal in the Champions League final against Barcelona last season.
At just 23 years old, Morata is a great prospect and knows Conte well, he could be a great signing for Chelsea, regardless of whether Diego Costa stays or leaves.
Jorginho
The 24-year-old has recently broken into Conte’s Italy side.
Jorginho has been a great figure in the Napoli side this season and has been instrumental in Napoli’s quest for the league title, where they lost out to Conte’s old club, Juventus.
Jorginho is yet another midfielder who could sharpen up the Blues and help them regain their status at the top of Europe’s elite.
Paul Pogba
Antonio Conte did the unthinkable with Juventus in the 2011/12 season and matched Arsenal’s record of going a season unbeaten, however Conte’s unbeaten run included the Italian cup too!
Juventus didn’t compete in the Champions league that season after finishing 7th the previous term.
It is incredible to think that the club managed to achieve that feat without French star Paul Pogba, who was in the last of his years at Manchester United.
Pogba has been one of the best players in world football since arriving at Juventus and was named in the FIFA World XI this year alongside the world’s best.
ALthough the transfer is quite unlikely, any team in the world would love to have Pogba in their side and Conte will hope that his relationship with the 23-year-old could seduce him to join Chelsea.
