Granit Xhaka became Arsenal’s first piece of summer business in 2016, with the midfielder securing a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee, and the Gooners here in the Transfer Tavern are pretty hyped about it all!
After once again missing out on the Premier League title, Arsenal fans here in the Tavern are desperate for the club and Arsene Wenger to invest wisely this transfer window, so that they can push further forward next campaign.
Xhaka – much like previous signings Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez – represents a signal of intent from Wenger, who has famously refused to part with cash in the past.
However now with his job on the line, the Frenchman must stand up and take action to bring the Gunners back to the glory days of Thierry Henry and Co.

Bruno
Spanish pundit Guillem Balague compared Bruno to Busquets at Barcelona, stating the midfielder was the vital piece in Villarreal’s midfield and that the Spaniard would be an ‘automatic choice for any other midfield in the world’.
Brilliant at both ends of the field, the 31-year-old is finally receiving the recognition he deserves.
Bruno could form an excellent partnership with Xhaka in midfield.

Sissoko and Xhaka could be a fantastic partnership in midfield.

A long standing transfer target of the Gunners, the Sporting Lisbon man has had another impressive season in Portugal, and has extended his contract with his current club till 2020.
While a move may be unlikely, the right money could lure the highly rated 24-year-old to North London.
