Our Landlord at the Football Transfer Tavern has had a fairly quiet week in terms of transfer news, but he has still had plenty of fans coming through the Tavern doors!
This Premier League season is one that has captured the imagination of fans, with Leicester City sitting top of the English football, with a budget less than half of the so called big teams.
Manchester City’s defeat at home to current Premier League leaders Leicester City, makes us all wonder if the big money stars in the Man City squad are worth their huge transfer fee and salary they receive.
The Transfer Tavern landlord decided to seek out some of our resident Manchester City fans to ask them if some of the current playing staff were overrated.
Here is a list of FIVE current Man City players our resident Citizens told our Transfer Tavern landlord are overrated……

Raheem Sterling
For just a shade under £50million, so far Sterling has not delivered.
Sterling has tremendous pace, but all too often he has no end product.
For such a high price his crossing is inconsistent and his finishing is wayward, for the price of Raheem Sterling you would be forgiven for expecting more for your money.
When he joined Man City, people here in the Tavern thought he would be the one to fire City to another title, as it now turns out, his ability to do this was overrated.
Jesus Navas
A winger that has just three assists in 22 games, Navas always promises much but never delivers.
Many times over recent years Navas manages to have this reputation that he is the man who can turn a game and make a difference.
Yet season after season he fails to deliver, Navas is a winger with limited skill and he does not like to cross the ball – and on the rare occasion he does put a cross in, it fails to find a team-mate.
Nicolas Otamendi
The Argentine was supposed to be the perfect partner to Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany.
City paid £33.45million for the centre back, who quite frankly is not up to the job. Too often he is out of position and misses crucial tackles.
The big defender that came with a big reputation has failed so far to live up to his billing, and is simply struggling to adapt to the demands of the Premier League.
Martin Demichelis
After a second season of disappointment at City, the 35-year-old defender has never produced a sustained period of good form.
The Argentine international was allegedly one of the best defenders in the world when he arrived from Atletico Madrid back in 2013.
This world class status has never been apparent, he has the odd good match but not to the high acclaim his reputation would have you believe.
Samir Nasri
The French international midfielder is one of those players who everyone raves about, but when push comes to shove is hard pressed to know why.
He joined City from Arsenal for just over £20million back in 2011, and Nasri has simply failed to produce enough week in week out.
Nasri has yet to fully deliver on the reputation he arrived with from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
