5 players Manchester City could sign with £250 million this summer – Agreed?

It looks set to be a summer of change for the blue half of Manchester this summer under the new regime of Pep Gurdiola.

The Spaniard will be looking for players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet and have an eye for a pass.

Guardiola will be keen for the club to improve on last season’s fourth place finish under Manuel Pellegrini last season and is already making moves in the transfer market.

The club have already completed the signing of Ilkay Gudongan from Borussia Dortmund and look set to add impressive young French defender Aymeric Laporte to their ranks in the coming days.

Its clear that Guardiola is going to be handed significant funds this summer with a reported figure of around £250 million being made available to him to improve the squad for their assault on the Premier League and Europe next season.

Marquinhos

Marquinhos

The impressive Paris St Germain player could be another that Guardiola will look to add to his Manchester City squad this summer.

The Brazilian international is comfortable playing at centre back, right back and in a defensive midfield role.

He is known for his phenomenal heading ability and speed and despite his lack of height he is not afraid to get involved in a battle was the opposing side if needs be.

Toni Kroos

Another player who would be a great addition to the Manchester City squad would be German international Tony Kroos.

Kroos has outstanding passing ability and has assisted with so many goals throughout his career to date.

Whether Guardiola can prise his away from Real Madrid this summer remains to be seen but he would be a vital cog in the wheel with regards to how the Spaniard wants Manchester City to perform next season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Borussia Dortmund striker will need no introduction to Manchester City fans seeing as he is one of the top strikers in the game today.

With Sergio Aguero the only striker to get 20 plus goals for Manchester City in recent seasons it is clear that the club need another prolific striker adding to their ranks.

Since joining Dortumund back in 2013 he has played 140 games scoring on 80 occassions and would not doubt be an asset to Manchester City should they decide to add him to their ranks this summer.

Paul Pogba

Another player who is linked with a move to England this summer.

The Italian international is the heartbeat of the Juventus midfield and would be an ideal replacement for Yaya Toure if as expected he leaves the Etihad Stadium this summer.

City will face competition for the midfielders signature should they decide to make a move with cross city rivals Manchester United also reportedly interested in signing the imposing midfielder.

Manuel Neuer

With manager Pep Guardiola liking the back to front passing style of play no goalkeeper in the world is better with the ball at his feet that the German international.

If anyone can tempt Neuer away from Bayern Munich it would be Guardiola who is a big fan of the sweeper.

With Joe Hart anything but impressive for Manchester City last season it remains to be seen what the future holds for England’s number one under Guardiola this summer.

Would be a statement of intent from Guardiola if he managed to bring Neuer to England and one the Manchester City fans would welcome with open arms.
