Manchester United fans are looking forward to the return of the Premier League more than most, with their side having produced their two most impressive performances of the season back-to-back prior to the international break.

United look on course to secure a fourth placed finish and Champions League football next season, and this without having barely used arguably their most high profile signing of the summer.

David De Gea
The Spaniard has been without a doubt United’s best player of the last two seasons, and perhaps the difference between them currently occupying a top four place and being just outside.
De Gea has established himself as one of the world’s best goalkeepers in the past couple of seasons, and continues to attract attention from Real Madrid.
United continue to claim De Gea will be going nowhere, but as we have seen so many times in the past, it is difficult to hold onto anyone once Real Madrid come calling – no matter who you are.
Angel Di Maria
The Argentine became the most expensive player in English football only last summer, yet that £59.6million is looking like an expensive mistake at present.
After a bright start, Di Maria has faded badly at Old Trafford, and reports continue to suggest he is having a tough time adapting to life in Manchester.

Adnan Januzaj
The Belgian teenager was rated as one of the most exciting young players in world football last season, yet this term he has struggled to make any sort of progress.

His attitude and performance level has been questionable to say the least, and if there is any sign of Paris St Germain renewing their interest, it would not come as a major shock if van Gaal opted to cash in.
Javier Hernandez
